How do I make my puppy comfortable with me feeding stray dogs and puppies? I feed them only after I bring my dog Gadhu back home from his walk. Despite feeding my puppy full, he still jumps into their food. Is that something I should worry about or is it okay for puppies to behave this way. Gadhu is 5 month old Labrador Retriever. Though he's super friendly with humans and female dogs.

it's will be good to train him to stay on your command which will give more control to the situation and reward him when he stays

Your child is still small, as he grows up, he will understand.

It is quite normal for lab puppies to behave that way cos they are voracious eaters. However, always keep an eye on how he eats and don't let him overeat ever. Also since he is very young it will be better to start training him from now onwards cos it will be harder to train him once he gets older. However, labs are fast learners and he'll learn easily to behave.

Hii..Vani
There is nothing to be worried about. He is a child now. If he grows up, he will understand, just keep training him.❤️

It is normal for your puppy to hands down on stray's bowl. He will be comfortable once he is friends with strays. Make two bowls together infront of him, one for gandhu and another for strays. Make sure gandhu eats properly from his bowl so that his stomach is full and then you can go out with him to feed strays infront of gandhu.

Sure Vidushi, that's something he needs to get self control on. He allows one Indie girl, his first fur friend to have food while he silently watches her. :)

Sure Ann, actually a nice idea. I can feed the stray babies and keep his favourite treat handy. So he'll remember he'll get a higher worth reward for being good boi.!
