This is the normal behavior ....
Dogs/pups are very intelligent animals and get bored easily.
They might fill their time by chewing on things in your house, swallowing something they shouldn't in the process.
Get better treats
Use puppy toys

Hey Emimah, though it's normal for our furbabies, not everything is safe to gulp things down their throats.
✅ Puppy proof his place, since Tony is merely a month old baby, his organs are yet to mature and develop. He doesn't have the immunity to fight the germs etc. Just like hooman babies, they should be protected from risky encounters until all his mandatory vaccinations are done.

The Kong happens to be the most recommended toy for dogs by vets, trainers
It also serve as chewing material to fit your dog’s individual needs. The hollowness of Kong allows for easy treat fillings so that your dog can chase for his food. Some users rim the inside with peanut butter for a real kick.

Unsupervised puppies are more likely than adults to consume things outdoors that may cause gastrointestinal upset and diarrhea. Things like feces of other animals, dead animals/road kill, stagnant water, and even foreign objects, like leaves and wood chips, may all cause diarrhea in dogs.
