Or maybe you're home with a packet of grapes. Try rewarding calm behaviour by first letting Jake sit and then open the door. Wait until he sits. Try training him when you're actually not outside for long for practice, then when you're back home, he'll know that excitement is fun and allowed too but only after calmly greeting dearest Ann 💕
