You can make him habitual. Firstly keep him in one room for 30min n observe his activity gradually u can try for longer duration.

Yes but in certain situations
My Shih Tzu puppy who is 6 month old is ok with 4 -5hrs but I think 6 is too long to leave him alone ..

You can definitely leave him alone for some time once he is trained for it but make sure you take care of everything before leaving him alone.
There shouldn't be the items in his reach which he is not allowed to have or destroy. Don't leave him alone for too long. Make him poo and pee before you leave him. Keep a bowl of water and some treats in his reach.
You can train him to stay clamly alone at home by leaving for few minutes every day. So that he will be comfortable but don't leave him straight for 5-6hrs.

Leaving a puppy alone for 6 hours isnβt great for any four-legger regardless of age.

Right Ann, I can relate. Even with my Gadhu, I try to let someone meet him while I'm away for sometime since he's not very habitual. Though at night, he's comfortable sleeping alone for few hours. In daytime, he kinda more active, so we're still working on it. He's doing good though. Earlier he uses to sleep the entire time in my lap when I was busy with work on my laptop. :)
