Can you people suggest diet for my 44 days puppy i tried giving him puppy starter from last 4 days he is not gaining weight even though I am giving him food 3 times a day and from yesterday he started refusing to eat this so tried giving him cerelac again and he enjoys eating that and mixing some starter in it! Is this ok? Or any suggestions?

You should try mixing starter in less quantity in ceralac and day by day increase the quantity of starter he will start eating .

We faced this issue with Berkeley. He stopped eating his starter after a few days. So we started adding Pedigree's wet chicken chunks to his starter and that fixed the problem. We did this for a few weeks and eventually stopped and he has had no trouble eating since then. As for feeding times, my vet suggested we feed Berkeley 6 times a day with a duration of 3 hours each meal. We have been on this schedule since he was 50 days old or so and he has steadily gained weight and is at the perfect weight for Shih Tzus his age. I suggest you give Shiro smaller meals but more frequently. Puppies should ideally be fed at least four times a day, three is less. As for portion size, it is best to ask your vet. We measure Berkeley's food on a kitchen scale before feeding him and this has helped him steadily gain the appropriate amount of weight. So ask your vet how many grams of food does a lab pup his age need and divide that into four or more meals.

My suggestion is feed him 4 times a day till 3 months then reduce to 3 times, puppy required more protin hence concentrate on food which is having reach protin, better to stick to good quality dog food, I initially used pedigree pro mother and pup mixed with 01tsp cerelac, then gradually switched to RC medium puppy after 58 days, no other foods yet tried. Weight gain is not good provide vitamin & immunity booster drop every day , he shoul be active al the day.
